Alabama Bass Trail Set for $100,000 No Entry Fee Championship with $50,000 Grand Prize Up for Grabs on Lake Eufaula

Qualifying Teams Head to Lakepoint State Park This Weekend, October 16 and 17

The Alabama Bass Trail Tournament Series Championship, presented by Phoenix Boats, will award $50,000 to the winning team at its NO entry fee event October 16 and 17, 2026, on Lake Eufaula. Launch and weigh-in both days will be held at Lakepoint State Park in Eufaula, Alabama, with the event hosted by the Eufaula-Barbour County Chamber of Commerce.

The two-day Championship is the finale of the 2026 Alabama Bass Trail Tournament Series season and features a total payout of over $100,000, including a $500 Mountain Dew Big Fish award each day.

The Championship roster is comprised of teams from the North and South Divisions, featuring the top 5 couples teams, top 5 high school student teams and top 5 college teams of the season. These highly competitive amateur anglers from across the country, will compete for the title of 2026 Alabama Bass Trail Champions.

Who will be the team that takes home the $50,000 first place prize and bragging rights as the 2026 ABT Champions?

Often called the Big Bass Capital of the World, Lake Eufaula covers roughly 45,000 acres of the Chattahoochee River along the Alabama and Georgia state line. Teams will weigh largemouth and spotted bass, with a 14-inch minimum size limit.

“This is a championship 10 years in the making. The ABT last visited Lake Eufaula for the championship in 2016, and to say we are excited to be back is an understatement,” said Kay Donaldson, Alabama Bass Trail Executive Director. “We are grateful to the Eufaula-Barbour County Chamber of Commerce and Lakepoint State Park for hosting us, and we can’t wait to crown our 2026 Champions.”

Competitors will also have the opportunity to earn contingency and bonus prizes from sponsors including Phoenix Boats, AMFirst, Garmin, TH Marine, Power-Pole, Pro Guide Batteries, Yamaha and Halo Fishing.

The momentum carries into next season. The 2027 Alabama Bass Trail Tournament Series is already sold out, with 450 teams and 900 anglers set to compete across the North and South Divisions. The 2027 season will conclude with a no entry fee Championship on Neely Henry Lake, October 15 and 16, 2027.

Live coverage will air both days of competition, October 16 and 17, starting at 7:00 a.m. Central, with live weigh-ins at 3:00 p.m. Central.
