I have spent most of the winter on other lakes because of my tournament schedule. Now I can finally spend some time on Lake Martin. Catching most of my fish off mail lake points on shaky head worms and crank baits in 5-10 ft of water. The spotted bass will be biting a bit better as the water warms, hopefully later this month. If you have not been to Martin in a while start fishing points with small worms and grubs on lite line (6-8lb). Start fishing right up on the bank and work out on the point into 20-25ft of water until you find the most productive depth for that day. Once you figure out the depth 20-30 spotted bass a day can be done on this body of water. We are booking now for March and April. Give us a Call if you would like to book a trip.
My favorite cold weather lake in central Alabama
