Lake Martin fishing is a little tougher in summer. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t a good chance of some quality fish. You have 2 options when the water gets over 80. Move deep or fish shade. Caught a nice bag Sunday fishing shade of docks with jigs and worms. Also have been catching spotted bass on deep humps in 25-35 ft of water on drop shots and shakeyhead worms. Fishing at night is a good choice in summer around pier lights as well. At night you don’t have to deal with the heat or boat traffic. Chad and I are booking summer trips now to show you how to catch them.
