I just wanted to drop a quick report out about the bite just before all this weather and about the conditions we are having. The bite seemed like it was really starting to turn on before all this rain. Traps, crankbaits and a jig are all we needed before this as they were producing some 30 fish days . I haven’t been out the past few days due to all the storms and today the wind has really blown with gust over 40 mph from the weather reports I have seen. They have had flood warnings in affect and the water is going to turn to mud and the areas that aren’t being affected by all the run off will be affected by the winds. I will be out first thing in the morning to check all the areas that I have been catching fish from.

We had been catching our fish from 4 to 10 feet of water and as deep as 15 feet.  Some fish have been up on the flats but our biggest have been coming from outside grass lines in 7 to 10 feet.

I’ll drop an update out sometime in the next few days when I can see what this weather has done to this lake.

I still have some dates open in March and April but my phone has been ringing off the hook so if you are thinking of going it may be a good choice to get your day or days booked.
