Wilson Lake Fishing Report
Wilson Lake is really turning on between cold fronts. Fish are moving up to the islands and vertical structure and really feeding for the spawn. We had a small shad kill during the beginning of January and the fish are so fat the could bust, and they are. You might want to bring some baby wipes because they will get your boat dirty. Key baits for us have been Rapala X Rap Jerkbaits in Albino Shiner, light swimbaits, and cold water crankbaits like a shad rap (shad color).
We are covering water and targeting shallow flats near deep water. They are suspending off the drops. Big rock piles near the tail races have been producing big stringers of fish. Just the other day an 8lb and 9lb largemouth were caught. With these next warm fronts in February Wilson will be on fire. I have a spring fever special for the month of February for $275. I am starting to run out of days. Take advantage of this and lets go catch some fish!
